Named “Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan” or “Atmanirbhar Asom,” this scheme is designed to empower and assist young aspiring entrepreneurs by providing substantial financial and policy backing.
The Atmanirbhar Asom 2023 scheme aims to reach a total of 2 lakh eligible beneficiaries within the next two years — 1 lakh in the fiscal year 2023-24 and another 1 lakh in the fiscal year 2024-25. This article will comprehensively cover all facets of this important initiative.

Age Requirement – To be eligible for the scheme, applicants must fall within the age bracket of 28 to 40 years as of April 1, 2023.

Bank Account – Applicants must have a scheduled commercial bank account that was opened before December 31, 2023.
Loan History – Applicants must have a clean record and should not have defaulted on any loans.
Government Employment – Applicants should not come from a family where a member holds a government service position or receives a pension.
Family Eligibility – Only one member per family is eligible to apply for the scheme.
