Applications are solicited from eligible Indian citizens, as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam, to fill 7249 vacant positions for
1. Graduate Teachers (Arts),
2. Graduate Teacher (Science),
3. Graduate Teacher (Hindi),
4. Graduate Teacher (Sanskrit)
in various Provincialized Secondary Schools under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam. The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to 70,000/-, including a Grade Pay of Rs. 8,700/- per month (under Pay Band-2), along with other allowances as per applicable rules.

Required Educational Qualification for 7249 posts

1. Graduate Teacher - Arts

✅ Candidates applying for the position must hold a degree in Arts/Commerce, either as a Graduate or Post Graduate, from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or equivalent). Additionally, candidates should possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.

✅ In accordance with the Government Office Memorandum No. ASE.238/2014/213, dated 22.11.2019, institutions with territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam, having a study center in the State, and not recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC) under UGC, will not have their degrees/certificates considered valid for employment in the Education Department. However, degrees/diplomas issued by KKHSOU, IGNOU, and IDOL under Gauhati University, as well as Distance Education under Dibrugarh University, will be considered valid for employment purposes.

✅ For the Secondary TET (Teacher Eligibility Test), candidates must achieve a minimum of 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD categories.

2. Graduate Teacher - Science

✅ Candidates applying for the position should possess a degree in Science, either as a Graduate or Post Graduate, from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent). Additionally, candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.

✅ In adherence to Government Office Memorandum No. ASE.238/2014/213, dated 22.11.2019, institutions with territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam, which have a study center in the State and are not recognized by the Distance Education Council (DEC) under UGC, will not have their degrees/certificates considered valid for employment in the Education Department. However, degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, and IDOL under Gauhati University, as well as Distance Education under Dibrugarh University, will be considered valid for employment purposes.

✅ For the Secondary TET (Teacher Eligibility Test), candidates must secure a minimum of 60% marks in each paper for the UR category and 55% marks for OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), and PwD categories.

3. Graduate Teacher - Hindi

✅ Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a degree qualification achieving 50% marks, or a Post Graduate degree in Arts with a 50% mark from any recognized University. Alternatively, a candidate may hold a BA with 50% marks and have Hindi as one of the subjects, achieving 50% marks, or possess a Post Graduate in Arts with 50% marks, given that they have passed BA with Hindi as a subject, securing 50% marks in Hindi.

✅ Candidates should also possess a B.T./B.Ed. degree from any recognized University. (PARANGAT will be considered equivalent to a B.Ed. degree specifically for Hindi teaching purposes.)

✅ In accordance with the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised Schools) (Amendment) Service Rules, 2021, institutions having jurisdiction outside Assam but with study centers in the state, not recognized by DEC under UGC, will not have their degrees/certificates deemed valid for employment in the Education Department. However, degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University, and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University will be considered valid for employment purposes.

4. Graduate Teacher - Sanskrit

✅ Candidates are eligible if they have obtained a Shastri degree with 50% marks, along with a degree qualification with 50% marks or a Post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks from any recognized University. Alternatively, candidates with a BA degree and 50% marks, with Sanskrit as one of the subjects, or those with a Post Graduate Degree in Arts with 50% marks in Sanskrit, are also eligible.

✅ Furthermore, candidates should possess a B.T. / B.Ed. degree from any recognized University.

Academic and professional Qualifications

1. For candidates applying to Assamese Medium Schools, it is essential to have successfully completed the HSLC or an equivalent examination with Assamese as one of the subjects. Alternatively, candidates should possess a diploma in Assamese Language issued by the Assam Sahitya Sabha or have studied up to the HSLC level in an Assamese Medium School.

2. For those interested in Bengali Medium Schools, the requirement is to pass the HSLC or an equivalent examination with Bengali as one of the subjects. Additionally, candidates may have a Diploma in Bengali issued by the Barak Upatyaka Bangya Sahitya O Sanskriti Sammelan or have studied up to the HSLC level in a Bengali Medium School.

3. As for Hindi Medium Schools, candidates must have passed the HSLC or an equivalent examination with Hindi as one of the subjects. It is also acceptable to have studied up to the HSLC level in a Hindi Medium School.

4. In the case of Bodo Medium Schools, candidates should have successfully passed the HSLC or an equivalent examination with Bodo as one of the subjects. Alternatively, candidates may have studied up to the HSLC level in a Bodo Medium School.

5. For English Medium Schools, candidates must have passed the HSLC or an equivalent examination with alternative English as one of the subjects. Another acceptable qualification is to have studied from Class XI onwards in an English Medium School.

It is important to note that, for the recruitment of teachers for teaching MIL (Mother Tongue) subjects, candidates who have passed the HSLC Examination with a specific MIL Subject will be considered.

TET Assam Recruitment Eligibility

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Qualification – Applicants must have successfully cleared either the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) specifically designed for Upper Primary School. Recruitment Guidelines
1. Cancellation or Postponement – The Director of Elementary Education, Assam retains the authority to cancel or defer the recruitment process at any stage without providing a specific reason.

2. TET Qualification – Candidates who have successfully completed the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School are eligible to apply.

3. Language Proficiency – In both ATET and CTET, either Language-I or Language-II of candidates must align with the medium of instruction in the chosen school for application.

4. Merit List – The Merit List will be prepared separately for each district and category.

5. Family Norms – As per government policy on Small Family Norms, candidates with more than two living children on or after January 1, 2021, are ineligible for appointment.

6. Declaration Submission Candidates are required to submit a declaration, as per the provisions outlined in Notifications No. ABP.69/2019/17 dated 06.11.2019 and No. ABP.69/2019/18 dated 16.11.2019, during the online application process. 7. Offline Applications No offline applications will be accepted.

10. Document Verification – Documents submitted online will be verified using DigiLocker, Govt. of India, and through barcode or QR code scanning. Physical document verification may be conducted if deemed necessary.

8. Responsibility for Information – Candidates are solely responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of information and documents uploaded during the online application. Corrections are not permitted once submitted.

9. Candidature Cancellation – Fraudulence, discrepancies, or misrepresentation of facts by the candidate will result in immediate cancellation of candidature. The candidate may also face legal consequences. 10. Ineligibility for Current Teachers Regular teachers currently employed in UP Schools under DEE, Assam, are not permitted to apply for the same posts in UP Schools.

11. Single Post Application – Each candidate can apply for only one post against a specific ATET/CTET for UP Schools Roll No.

12. Eligibility Criteria – Applicants must adhere to the eligibility criteria for UP Schools as per the government’s Department of School Education Notification No. eCF-303428 dated 29.11.2023.

ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOLS ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (AISSEE)-2024

The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has founded the National Testing Agency (NTA) as a premier testing organization that operates independently and autonomously, ensuring self-reliance and sustainability.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to administer the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024, facilitating admission to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools nationwide for the academic year 2024-25. These Sainik Schools, affiliated with CBSE and offering education in English, are residential institutions that groom cadets for entry into prestigious institutions such as the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and other Officer Training Academies

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has granted approval for the establishment of 19 new Sainik Schools, operating in collaboration with NGOs, private schools, and state governments. These newly sanctioned Sainik Schools operate under the umbrella of the Sainik Schools Society. Admission to the Class VI stream of the Sainik School in the new establishments for the academic year 2024-25 will also be facilitated through AISSEE-2024.

Eligibility for Admission to Class VI

Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31/03/2024. Admission for Girls is open for class VI, subject to availability of vacancies. Age criteria is same as boys is detailed in the information bulletin

Eligibility for Admission to Class IX

Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31/03/2024 and should have passed Classed VIII, from a recognised school, at the time of admission. Admission for girls is open for class IX, subject to availability of vacancies. Age criteria is same as boys is detailed in the information bulletin

CBSE CTET - Class I to V Or Primary Stage

A. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks is a prerequisite, along with having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any recognized name). Alternatively.

B. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, as per the guidelines set by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations of 2002.

C. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
D. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
E.Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

F. individuals who have acquired a Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE recognized institution will be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, it is mandated that those appointed as teachers in these classes must undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of their appointment as a primary teacher.

CBSE CTET - Class VI to VIII Or Elementary Stage

A. Completion of Graduation and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any recognized name) is a mandatory requirement.

B. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
C. Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued periodically.
OR
D. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
E. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

2. Service Qualification
a. For the positions of Constable & Head Constable – Candidates who have retired with the rank of Sepoy to Havildar in the Army or its equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force.

b. For the positions of Sub-Inspector & Inspector – Candidates who have retired with the rank of Naib Subedar or higher in the Army or its equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force.

NB : Please note that Ex-Servicemen who have retired with the rank of Havildar or an equivalent rank, and have completed a minimum of 15 years of service, can choose to apply for the position of Sub-Inspector. However, this option is available for either the Sub-Inspector role or Constable/Head Constable roles, but not for both simultaneously.

Assam Police of Physical & Medical Standards

An applicant should be in good health, free from significant chronic illnesses or physical deformities. Normal hearing and eyesight, whether aided by glasses or not, are required. The candidate must hold a SHAPE-1 category status from the Army or an equivalent category from the Navy or Air Force, as indicated in their Discharge book. The chosen candidate will need to present a medical fitness certificate to the appointing authority before assuming the position. It’s important to note that anyone found medically unfit will be disqualified.

Pre-entry test (PET) - 2023

For admission into 2-year diploma in elementary education (d.el.ed.) Course for the session 2023-2025
Online applications are hereby invited from eligible candidates who are permanent resident of Assam to appear in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2023 for admission into 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Course. The course will be conducted in the NCTE recognized Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal School/BTC/Pvt. TEIs) of the state for the academic session 2023-2025.
Minimum Educational Qualification :
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (HS) [10+2] from recognized Board/Council with at least 50% marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category there will be relaxation of 5% of marks in aggregate excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.
Age :
The candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 34 years as on 1st July, 2023. There will be relaxation by 2 years in upper age limit for candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) & ST(H) categories.

Reservation :
Reservation of seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories including OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), Person with Disability (PWD), EWS will be as per Reservation Policy.
