The 18th edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is scheduled to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education on 21-01-2024, which falls on a Sunday. CBSE CTET - Class I to V Or Primary Stage
A. Completion of Senior Secondary education (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks is a prerequisite, along with having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any recognized name). Alternatively.
OR
B. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, as per the guidelines set by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations of 2002.
OR
C. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
D. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
E.Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
OR
F. individuals who have acquired a Bachelor of Education qualification from any NCTE recognized institution will be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V. However, it is mandated that those appointed as teachers in these classes must undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of their appointment as a primary teacher.
CBSE CTET - Class VI to VIII Or Elementary Stage
A. Completion of Graduation and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any recognized name) is a mandatory requirement.
OR
B. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
C. Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued periodically.
OR
D. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
OR
E. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
OR
F. Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and having either passed or currently appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OR
G. any candidate who has successfully completed a B.Ed. Program recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in the TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines outlined in the NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person enrolled in any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as applicable) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also deemed eligible to appear in the TET/CTET.
